This service isn’t just for Windows, but I thought I’d share it anyway – highly recommended!
Are you a web site owner, blogger or webmaster who needs a fast and easy way to see your traffic metrics? These days, there are several online near-real-time traffic monitoring services – some are pretty darn clunky (that’s a technical term).
For about a year I’ve been using a really fine web traffic analysis service, called “Clicky”. It’s free, if you only monitor one web site or blog. As a web developer/marketer/webmaster, I use the annual $59.99 (equivalent to $5 per month) “Pro” plan, to monitor up to 20 sites.

This saves me a ton of time (another technical term) over downloading and analyzing raw web server traffic logs, or even using Google AdWords Analytics (for the few sites I administer which use Google AdWords ad campaigns). And “time is money” (technical term 3). Clicky displays a lot of useful metrics, some you can’t easily get any other way.
Of course, I still need to use those other methods sometimes, for some purposes, but for me Clicky has made the job of tracking traffic trends, in almost real-time, so easy, convenient (even fun), that now I can do it any time – whereas before traffic monitoring was usually a once per month no-fun chore.
To use Clicky with a web site, you write a short script into the bottoms of the web pages you want to track, the same as with other tracking products. For bloggers, Clicky provides plugins for various blogging software.
